The trip that will break & heal me ✈️

The lessons I’ll share in July

I’ve been building my life here alone for 4 years.

New country.
New language.
New everything.

Next week, my parents are landing in Canada.

Our last dinner together before I moved to 🇨🇦 in 2021

We haven’t hugged in 2 years.

They’ve never been here.
Never seen what I’ve created from scratch.

The friends.
The wins.
The places I’ve called home.

Part of me is buzzing to go full vacation mode.

Part of me knows this trip will crack me open in all the best (and hardest) ways.

Because we’ve all changed.
A lot.

The last hour together before I went to work in 🇺🇸 (2019)

July is about being fully here.
Present before, during, and after their visit.

I’m calling it:
Lessons Learned July.

I already know it won’t be linear.
It’ll be messy.
Beautiful.
Probably exhausting.

But I want to take you with me.

I’ll share every lesson in real time.
The honest moments.
The surprises.
The reminders of what really matters.

It took me weeks to pick a platform.
Instagram? Email? A private group?

But here’s the truth:
It’s never about the platform.
It’s about the people who care enough to read.

And if you’re here—you’re my people. 🫂

So, tell me:
What’s your big focus for July?

Hit reply and let me know.
